Ms. Maria C. Izurieta

Maria Izurieta, Chief Financial Officer, brings to Wireless Matrix 17 years of experience negotiating, acquiring and merging businesses; building processes; reducing expenses; raising funds and building infrastructures. Izurieta is a creative problem-solver capable of analyzing and resolving complex business and financial issues. Hired in 2004 to turn Wireless Matrix into a growing, profitable entity, Izurieta is one of the original members of the executive team which together developed and executed on strategies to sell off unrelated businesses and further entrench in scalable product lines. In addition, Izurieta helped acquire two software businesses to launch Wireless Matrix's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application business to drive long-term growth and raise equity financing to fund the company's acquisition strategy to consolidate the mobile resource management market. The successful execution of these strategies has led to the consistent generation of earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization and an increase in market capitalization of Wireless Matrix.

Prior to joining Wireless Matrix, Izurieta was the Chief Financial Officer at VIPdesk, a venture-backed service company based in Alexandria, VA, where she directed the company's financial and strategic planning. Prior to her appointment with VIPdesk, Izurieta was an independent consultant, serving as a Chief Financial Officer to start-up software enterprises developing business plans, corporate strategy, as well as raising initial and follow-on private offerings. Izurieta also held the role of Vice President of Finance and Administration for CyberCash, Inc., a publically held internet payments company, raising funds and leading mergers and acquisition activities. Izurieta began her career as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand in its high-technology practice specializing in initial and on-going public offerings.

Izurieta was a finalist in Northern Virginia Technology Council's (NVTC) 2008 Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards in the category of Public Company CFO of the Year. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
