Wireless Matrix offers several methods for integrating real-time location-based data with other business systems.

Our Partner Interface (PI), which is only available in FleetOutlook’s Platinum edition, offers open, scalable and bi-directional data exchange. The PI provides automatic vehicle location data to business applications, and in turn, receives data and updates from their databases via the Internet. This open interface offers our customers one solution through a seamless integration of systems or legacy applications.

Our Data Pump service, which is available in all editions of FleetOutlook, offers a one-way feed of operational data from FleetOutlook in an industry standard XML format. It feeds data elements – including vehicle GPS location, speed, and
direction – directly to your business for use with third-party systems. The data feed ensures that your entire enterprise receives the same intelligence about your operations in a format that allows maximum use with the systems that manage your business.

Workforce Management Example

Workforce Management (WFM) partners need to know where their mobile assets are located in real-time. Many WFM applications rely on the drivers calling in or completing an online form to provide location information. Integrating Wireless Matrix's FleetOutlook application with a partner's Workforce Management application offers customers:

• Timely updates of driver and vehicle pairing.
• The locations of all the drivers with the work orders they have in progress, completed and not started.
• A display of unassigned work orders in conjunction with the current drivers' locations. Dispatchers can determine the nearest field technician to send to a job.
• Turn-by-turn directions. Some WFM applications have the capability to display turn-by-turn directions to the dispatchers or other PC-based users. They generally rely on an AVL service to provide the actual
  turn-by-turn directions.
