Wireless Matrix Wins 2011 Mobile Star Award
Company’s FleetOutlook Product Awarded Superstar Award By MobileVillage Readers
HERNDON, VA (Dec. 13, 2011) – Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX:WRX) is pleased to announce that its FleetOutlook® GPS fleet tracking solution has been named a winner in the 10th annual Mobile Star Awards™ program, hosted by mobile technology news portal MobileVillage.com
FleetOutlook was recognized as a Superstar in the category: Enterprise Software: Mapping or LBS Services. All categories and winners are listed on MobileVillage.com at www.mobilevillage.com/awards.htm.
This is the second year in a row that FleetOutlook has been recognized with a Mobile Star award. In 2010, the solution won a Shining Star award in the category Enterprise Software: GPS or Location Based Services.
As in past years, the Mobile Star Awards program showcases “best of” entries in dozens of categories covering including mobile apps, wireless network solutions, enterprise mobile software, enterprise success stories, technology visionaries and more.
“The Mobile Star Awards pits today’s most exciting new mobile products and companies against established competitors, and the thousands of mobile-savvy readers of ‘Go Mobile™’ choose the winners,” says Mobile Star Awards Director Gary Thayer. “In this way, winners are chosen by real users who really love the product. And both the nominees and winners are respected in the mobile industry as the new ‘stars’ to watch.”
Winners were chosen by subscribers of MobileVillage’s “Go Mobile” – a free bi-weekly email newsletter that delivers informative headlines and links to top mobile technology stories on popular websites including: Cnet, Mashable, BGR, Engadget, PC World and Computerworld. “Go Mobile” was launched nearly 12 years ago and is now read by thousands of readers.
“This second recognition by the readers of MobileVillage is a testament to the continued innovation, quality and value found in FleetOutlook,” said J. Richard Carlson, president and CEO of Wireless Matrix. “In an increasingly competitive industry, we deeply appreciate this recognition from the mobile community. We have invested more in the FleetOutlook platform in 2011 than in other years. It’s very gratifying that our investment is being acknowledged by the industry and embraced by customers.”
