Wireless Matrix Expands and Rebrands Wireless Data Communication Equipment
RESTON, VA - (April 8, 2008) - Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX: WRX) today announced it has expanded and rebranded its line of wireless data hardware supporting the company's real-time fleet and resource management solutions.
Three classes of communication devices have been branded by functional purpose to enable customers to quickly identify which platform may be appropriate for their solution.
The Reporter Class is a low-cost vehicle mounted wireless data device supporting all GPS related functionality in Wireless Matrix's Mobile Resource Management (MRM) application suite. The Reporter Class includes the Reporter 5P and the Reporter 10L.
The Communicator Class supports all application functionality included in the Reporter Class with the addition of high speed Cellular Communications, including Wi-Fi. The Communicator Class includes the Communicator 300 and the Communicator 500 devices.
The Satellite Class works seamlessly with the Communicator Class and offers the additional business value of extremely high availability regardless of geographic position in North America, including the Gulf of Mexico. The Satellite Class includes the Satellite Data Modem 5000, the Satellite Data Terminal 5000 and the Mobile Base Station multi-mode communication platforms.
All Wireless Matrix vehicle centric communication devices are tightly integrated with its FleetOutlookŪ application suite. Delivered on a hosted, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) basis, FleetOutlook provides fleet operators an integrated planning and execution solution set for increasing the productivity of their field operations and service vehicles.
