Wireless Matrix Celebrates 20 Years In Business
Innovation, Adaptability to Change Are Keys To Company's Longevity
HERNDON, VA - (May 24, 2011) - Wireless Matrix (TSX: WRX), a leading provider of GPS fleet tracking services, marked a key milestone at the company’s Herndon, VA, headquarters today: the twentieth anniversary of the company’s incorporation.
It was on this date in 1991 that Interprovincial Satellite Services Ltd, known as Intersat, was incorporated in Alberta, Canada. Intersat became a leading developer and value-added provider of wireless data and fax services to corporate markets, building a reputation for technical excellence and exceptional service to its customers.
By vote of the shareholders, Intersat changed its name to Wireless Matrix in May, 2000.

Wireless Matrix has proven itself adept at change. From its roots as a wireless data provider, the company transformed itself in 2001 to become a supplier of multi-mode wireless communications services for vehicle fleets and remote field telemetry. The company divested its telemetry business in 2005 and assumed a focus solely on mobile services. It transformed itself once again to become a leading provider of GPS fleet tracking and management solutions, leveraging its years of mobile industry knowledge to become an applications service provider.
