Wireless Matrix Corporation Closes on Purchase of Certain Assets of SkyGuard, LLC

HERNDON, VA (September 30, 2011) – Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX:WRX), a leading provider of GPS fleet tracking services, announced today that it has closed on the purchase of certain assets of SkyGuard, LLC, a provider of fleet management systems based out of Flowood, MS.

This transaction enhances Wireless Matrix’s position as the leading and trusted provider of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) and GPS solutions to enterprise service fleets in the utility and cable markets. In addition, this opens up great opportunity for the Company to establish a beachhead in the construction industry, and grow its market share in municipality, government and non-government organizations (NGO), all markets with significant growth potential. The acquisition also doubles the Company’s subscriber base in the small and mid-sized business market (SMB), a new growth avenue for Wireless Matrix.
