It’s not easy managing the up-keep of a few vehicles. How about hundreds or even thousands? From oil changes to tire rotations and brake replacements, staying on top of vehicle maintenance is a necessary evil to help preserve the value and longevity of your vehicles and lower the total cost of vehicle ownership.

The Wireless Matrix Vehicle Maintenance Module is an innovative, easy-to-use and powerful tool within FleetOutlook^® for administering and tracking the maintenance of your mobile assets. This module automatically tracks not only calendar days but also the elapsed mileage and engine hours using an in-vehicle GPS device. The results are then displayed on the Vehicle Maintenance Dashboard. See at-a-glance which vehicles are due for maintenance and which are past due.

• Ensure preventative maintenance is performed at specified intervals. Automatically track maintenance by elapsed mileage (GPS odometer), calendar days and engine hours to ensure that maintenance is performed at specified intervals. Maintenance that is due is displayed on the dashboard. Any maintenance that is past due is prominently displayed at the top of the dashboard with a red indicator light.
• Reduce unscheduled maintenance and downtime. By performing preventative maintenance at the specified intervals, fleets can significantly reduce unscheduled maintenance and potential vehicle breakdowns. By reducing unscheduled maintenance, customer service and the overall operating metrics of the fleet improve.
• Decrease vehicle maintenance costs. Preventative maintenance is much less to perform than unscheduled maintenance. After all, an oil change is much less expensive than an engine overhaul. Preventative maintenance also takes less time to perform than unscheduled maintenance so the vehicle can be in-and-out of the maintenance facility quickly.
• Eliminate the cost of over-maintaining. Many companies don’t have a good handle on their maintenance schedules and take the attitude “better safe than sorry” – better to over-maintain than under-maintain. If a vehicle is in the shop for one reason, why not get an oil change for good measure. Such extra and unnecessary oil changes add up over time and provide little added benefit.
• Enable the fleet manager to focus on maintenance, not paperwork. The Vehicle Maintenance Module eliminates the need for the fleet manager to track maintenance intervals on paper. The module also auto-notifies the fleet manager via the dashboard when maintenance is due or past due.
