“Throughout the entire electrical utility
industry, the focus on improving everyday crew efficiencies and enhancing
outage recovery times by use of AVL technology and mobile resource
management systems is a growing demand. As we develop and enhance our
products to meet these needs for our customers, we’re growing
and strengthening our working relationships with world class companies
like Wireless Matrix. We at Milsoft have just scratched the surface
of the potential of Wireless Matrix’s hardware and software solutions.
It’s great to have Wireless Matrix as a part of our evolving
technology road map as both companies work together to provide superior
mobile solution products to electrical utilities across the country.”

Milsoft’s DisSPatch is
a complete Outage Management System that provides for quick and efficient
management of outages on an electrical distribution system.
DisSPatch processes information from customers, crews and devices
to locate and predict problem areas. It helps system operators, dispatchers
and supervisory staff effectively deal with any level of system outage,
from the routine transformer outage to emergency storm situations where
a significant portion of your customers are without power.
In addition, Milsoft’s Unplugged allows
field personnel to carry a copy of their Milsoft circuit model wherever
they go. No piles of paper, no hunting for blowups and no importing
or exporting of data. With the click of a button, technicians can synchronize
their model and billing data, then disconnect from the server and go.
Using Unplugged, users can display detailed engineering data as well
as customer billing data without the need for a network connection.
Milsoft and Wireless Matrix partnered to provide customers with real-time
location of fleet vehicles in order to enhance Milsoft’s Outage
Management System. Once an outage occurs, a dispatcher finds the troubled
location within Milsoft’s OMS. On the same screen, the dispatcher
then discovers which truck is closest to that particular location.
This interface specification has been approved by MultiSpeak to
allow an easy-to-manage, feature-rich exchange of information between
Outage Management Systems and Workforce Management applications.
